Timed free write, 9 minutes, March 2019

No prompt was given for this student.  She just wrote. This is a timed freewrite.  Students write without stopping for 5-10 minutes about anything they want to write about.  Freewriting, while not building language, builds confidence and most students can easily write 100+ words in less than 10 minutes.

This writing quiz is part of SOMOS 1, Unit 15.  Students were asked to give their opinions about children being incarcerated with their parents in Bolivian prisons.  Note the use of the subjunctive; I have never explicitly taught it, just used pop-up grammar to point it out.  This is a very high achieving student.
